Love of God Event

ALJECO HOME was one among other member organizations who were invited to attend a meeting that was prepared by the Christian organization called Samaritan’s Purse under the special program known as Operation Christmas Child (OCC) to invite kids from different places and tell them about Jesus, to know him and follow his ways so that they can tell other children about him. Samaritan’s Purse handed over 100 boxed gifts to ALJECO which only children were supposed to unbox during the event. The items inside the box were packed by different churches in America according to the age and gender of the children.

ALJECO HOME hosted an event to show children the love of God. Our General Manager organized this activity by collecting children from different streets aged 2-14 mostly from needy families. She invited them to ALJECO's compound on June 17, 2023. The event was attended by family, friends, pastors, representative leaders from Samaritan’s Purse and a government social worker who was the guest of honor. There were speeches, music, food, and activities for the children. The event was an absolute success and enjoyed by all

Children were so happy to attend and perform different activities. ALJECO kids acted in a short play that shows how children should behave and sang a very touching song that praises the Lord Jesus. As a result, other kids promised to do the same in the future events. To expand children's knowledge of the world God has created, they had to join the GREAT JOURNEY class. This is a fun interactive activity and educational class designed for children starting June 30th, 2023. This class will have 12 stimulating topics. Children will celebrate their success and receive certificates upon completion.

While our General Manager facilitated the event, children unboxed their gifts and discussed which gifts they liked the most. However, the facilitating team kept emphasizing that Jesus was their most valuable gift. The event had a substantial impact because other kids' parents couldn't afford exercise books, shoes and other materials. However, through this event, they got them inside their boxes.

At the end of the event, guests had an opportunity to speak to the children about God and our Lord Jesus. The Guest of Honor had the opportunity to thank Samaritan's Purse and ALJECO for making this event possible. After lunch, the children had a chance to play around AJECO compound together and continue to have fun. There is no doubt that Jesus is love, and his love for children is recorded in Mark 10:14.
